JiSoo Lee is South Korean and American illustrator with a BFA in illustration from Moore College of Art & Design. She excels in critical thinking with an artistic approach, utilized in every step of the creative process. Graphic Design elements are often utilized in her illustration to create works of Surrealism and humor.

In creating Origin, the artist draws from her own origin story as a Korean-American. Referencing the Hunminjeongeum, the first document to describe an entirely new and native script for the Korean language, Lee explores language as the cornerstone of culture, and the Korean language as a powerful point of connection to her heritage.
