Each and every effort to bring more people to the table is important. Diversity Equity and Inclusion are pooled together to encourage a 360 degree view of community representation, and are have become such an integral part of arts and nonprofit administration as to earn a ubiquitous initialism: DEI. 

Diversity prioritizes the representation of various voices in a conversation, so it does not live in a bubble.

Equity is understanding that individual and community needs are by definition singular and crucial to bringing one's fullest self to any discussion.

Inclusion is the active work we must put in to make sure people have access, feel invited, and are encouraged to participate in the conversation.
