Burnt Pink

Burnt Pink was born in 2018 when longtime friends Chris Acree (Strange Parts, Upholstery), Corey Carris Duncan (Pattern Is Movement, Oh! Pears, Strange Parts) and Martin Khoa Sweeney (MegaMega) began performing improvised live scores at the Art Dept in Philadelphia. A few short months later, the mind meld was complete when Martin’s brother Mark Pham (aka Swarvy), visiting from LA, joined. They improvised and recorded a soundtrack to Stan Brakhage’s Dog Star Man, music which would comprise their first LP, Afterlife Dub. Since then, they have continued to release more improvised ‘rugged healing music’ and live recordings at a breakneck pace, including most recently, Perfectionist, a 7-track album recorded in a single session on Chris' birthday.
