Richard Hamasaki

Poet, editor, publisher and film producer Richard Hamasaki has been actively working in Hawaiʻi for nearly five decades. This year, Contemporary Hawaiʻi Triennial’s associate curator Drew Kahuʻāina Broderick is featuring Hamasaki’s and his photographer brother Mark Hamasaki's collaborations from 1976 to the present at the Hawaiʻi State Art Museum in Honolulu along with local, regional, and internationally renowned visual artists, filmmakers, poets, writers, scholars, book designers, and musicians from a variety of artistic collectives.
