Steve Parker
Steve Parker is active as a musician, composer, and educator. He worked as a Fulbright Scholar in Germany, and is presently a Donald D. Harrington Fellow at The University of Texas at Austin and Artist-In-Residence at the Blanton Museum of Art. As a soloist, Steve has performed in the US, Europe, South America and Asia, and has worked with Pierre Boulez, John Williams, and David Lang. He has performed at Canegie Hall, Tanglewood, The Spoleto Festival, Le Poisson Rouge, on NPR, and has recorded on Cantaloupe and Mode Records. As an educator, Steve was Director of Education for the Philadelphia Classical Symphony and a Teaching Artist for the Philadelphia Orchestra. He has conducted several residencies at Philadelphia-area schools and has authored several curriculums for local music programs.
