Pearl Street Block Party is back for the first time since 2016! Come join us in-person at 1200 block of Pearl Street on Saturday October 23 from 2 to 6PM!
Come check out the brand-new mural by Josh Cochran! Help us finish the mural by adding your touch of brush stroke guided by the artist at the Block Party.
Presented by Philadelphia Contemporary and based on their Love Jawns: A Mixtape series, four sets of DJ-Poet pairs will perform throughout the event. The performance will be amplified with The Tower of Sounds, a custom-built 15 kilowatt system created by Dub-Stuy Records. Performing pairs include: Sinta Penyami Storms & DJ Desire, Lyrispect & DJ Q-Mastah of Dub-Stuy, and Michelle Myers & DuiJi 13.
Bring food + pantry item donations to our Community Fridge, which is part of our Mutual Aid Storefront of CARE exhibition!
Sriscompany will be the food vendor from 2–4PM, serving Sri Lankan cuisine.
And we will have many other activities and shop experience throughout the afternoon. Join us this Saturday at Asian Arts Initiative!
