Join us for this closing reception to the CARE Exhibition, with a benefit show with four exciting Asian American musicians!

Performers include Rat Porridge, Slipstream, Asa Nakagawa, and a DJ Set by BB Basura. All proceeds will go towards the continued operations of Asian Arts Initiative's Community Fridge in 2022.

Suggested donation is $10-20, or bring a winter clothing item, NOTAFLOF.

In the months bridging our society out of an extraordinary year of revolutionary caregiving, Asian Arts Initiative will present public programming and an interactive showcase of mutual aid initiatives led by Black, Indigenous and other People of Color in the city of Philadelphia.

Premised on the radical notion that everyday life is a social movement, we look at the invisibilized labor of “natural” caregivers, the joyful innovations of communities of care. We will explore how the principles of inclusion and equity we are so good at instilling in young people can be translated into exploitative institutional systems which prioritize productivity over care.

Further themes and animating questions around the topic of care include:
